Air brings success

If you utilise the oxygen in the air better, you improve your performance. Jörg Klemm invented a therapy device for this purpose.

Racing drivers in particular benefit from improved concentration. Jörg Klemm and Guido Bierther (r.) in front of the Porsche that the company will be racing this year.

“I’m just going out for a breath of fresh air“, is the reaction of many people when they are feeling sluggish. A lack of oxygen. Jörg Klemm from Hennef/Sieg, Germany, took this seriously and made oxygen his business. Together with Guido Bierther and Silko Günzel he developed a device that processes, or "activates" normal inhaled air. In this way the body can utilise the oxygen in the air better and improve performance. Airnergy+ is the name of the product that Natural Energy Solutions AG sells – not just to physicians, clinics and wellness hotels, but also to private individuals. Humans consume around 400 litres of the invisible gas each day.

Klemm, "Normally our body is only able to utilise around 25 per cent of the oxygen in the air we breathe. The rest is exhaled again without being utilised.” Klemm worked on creating a method of processing oxygen so that it could be utilised better for the metabolism. The result is that when the device is used, the exhaled air contains less oxygen than when we breathe normally. In other words, more oxygen is absorbed and utilised to produce energy. According to Klemm’s experience, the therapy can especially help children, people with illnesses, athletes, older people and people suffering from stress.

For these people an optimum metabolism is especially important. “You can compare this to an engine: if it is tuned well it performs better and lasts longer.“ Ill people could regenerate quicker, children could increase their concentration and athletes benefit from a lower pulse at the same level of performance.

For example, the German national men’s biathlon team use the device from Natural Energy Solutions. The treatment can even help in cases of impaired visual acuity. The successes of the Airnergy application can also be scientifically verified. The Knop Institute for Medical Bionics in Wolfsheim, Germany recently carried out a study with healthy test persons and came to the conclusion that the entire nervous system was strengthened.

The product was launched in April 2001 and is sold in four different versions in 25 countries; the USA is by far the largest market. In Germany, the therapy is also becoming more and more popular. Klemm, "Germany is not a bad market, even if the Americans are more receptive to innovations such as this." The company has sold around 6,000 devices and the trend is towards increasing sales. Managing director, Guido Bierther, "I think we have the greatest business potential in Germany.” Success has proved him right. The company has experienced triple-digit increases in sales in the past.
